Surrender your own desire, and seek God´s will in all areas of your life.

´In you, LORD my God, I put my trust.´ — Psalm 25:1 AMP

´(4) Show me your ways, LORD, teach me your paths. (5) Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are my God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long.´ — Psalm 25:4–5

Life is not about us, it really is not. Life is about that when we meet God, we are able to come clear before Him because we have done His will. Everyone must give account for his life. ‘What have you done with the life I have given you? How have you loved?’ We need to be ready to answer those questions and give account for our actions and for our inactions.

´So then, each of us will give an account of ourselves to God.´ — Romans 14:12 AMP

Life is really not about us, it is really not. Life is about seeking God and understanding His will for our lives, which is the absolute best one.

´(1) The LORD is my Sheperd [to feed, to guide and to shield me], I shall not want. (2) He lets me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still and quiet waters. (3) He refreshes and restores my soul (life); He leads me in the paths of righteousess for His name´s sake. (4) Eventhough I walk through the [sunless] valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod [to protect] and Your staff [to guide], they comfort and console me. (5) You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You have anoiunted and refreshed my head with oil; My cup overrflows. (6) Surely goodness and mercy and unfailing love shall follow me all the days of my life, And I shall dwell forever [throughout all my days] in the house and in the presence of the LORD.´ — Psalm 23:1–6 AMP

God has a bigger plan for everything that happens.

´For I consider [from the standpoint of faith] that the sufferings of the present life are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is about to be revealed to us and in us!´ — Romans 8:18 AMP

We are ought to pray for God´s will.

´In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through worldless groans.´ — Romans 8:26 AMP

It is about God´s will in our lives.

´”(42) Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done.” (43) And an angel from heaven appared to him and strengthened him. (44) And being in anguish, he prayed more earnestly, and his sweat was like drops of blood falling to the ground.´” — Luke 22:42–44 AMP

All of us need to remember this in times of pain.

To arrive before God and not have sought a relationship with Him in our Lifetime and surrendered to His Will and actioned upon it, is the worst outcome possible. This is utmost serious.
